Hunter Newman
Hunter Newman, PhD, is Co-Founder and CEO of OsteoCure Therapeutics, a Duke University spinout developing adenosine-based therapeutics for bone regeneration and skeletal health. He has more than a decade of experience translating adenosine-based regenerative technologies from academic research toward clinical development, including work spanning biomaterials, drug delivery, and preclinical models of bone disease.
Dr. Newman earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from Duke University, where his research focused on regenerative biomaterials and adenosine signaling. Under his leadership, OsteoCure is advancing OCTA2, a bone-targeted adenosine prodrug designed to address osteoporosis through localized, sustained adenosine activity within the skeletal microenvironment.
