Andrea Ippolito

CEO & Founder, SimpliFed

Andrea Ippolito is the CEO and Founder of SimpliFed, a maternal care home platform centered on baby feeding and breastfeeding support. Andrea served as the Director of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Innovators Network within the VA Center for Innovation. She also served as the Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the VA surrounding Electronic Health Record Modernization, along with a Presidential Innovation Fellow based out of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.  Andrea was also the Co-Founder of Smart Scheduling, an innovative application that improves access to care and was acquired by athenahealth in 2016, an Innovation Specialist at the Brigham Innovation Hub and Product Innovation Manager at athenahealth, and a Research Scientist at Boston Scientific. She also completed her M.S. in the Engineering Systems Division at MIT, where her research was looking at telehealth and health information exchange and she was also the Co-Director of MIT Hacking Medicine.  Andrea obtained both her BS in Biological Engineering and Master of Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University.
