Upstream USA is the largest organization in the nation using an evidence-based program to improve contraceptive access. Rooted in the belief that contraceptive care is basic healthcare that should be accessible and affordable to all people, Upstream works to integrate patient-centered contraceptive care into primary care settings so that patients can access the contraceptive service that meets their needs and preferences where and when it’s convenient for them.
Since launching in 2014, Upstream has provided training and technical assistance to over 230 healthcare organizations across 37 states, serving over 1 million patients of reproductive age annually to improve the quality and accessibility of contraceptive care.
